Bharathidasan was a disciple of Bharathi. Both of their works are equally praiseworthy. He was a Tamil poet who was born in Pondicherry. Born in 1891 as Subburathinam, he assumed the name Bharathidasan inspired by the celebrated Tamil poet Mahakavi Subramania Bharathi and went on to compose a number of critically acclaimed poems and plays. He wrote some scripts for films on the issue of women empowerment. His works reflect the golden age of Tamil literature.
His home was later converted into a museum which preserves his great literary works. Some of his best compositions were created in this house. If you are a person who has literary interest and if you have tried enough sightseeing places in Pondicherry, you must visit this museum.
